Daytona Beach Paddleboarding SUP

Wednesday, August 8th, 2012 at 2:35pm. 292 Views, 0 Comments.

paddleboard lessons in daytona beachHave you been to the beach or near the Halifax River lately and seen someone on what appears to be a surfboard holding boat oars? Ryan Lochte 5 Olympic 2012 Medals

Monday, August 6th, 2012 at 3:29pm. 239 Views, 0 Comments.

In some people’s eyes these accomplishments may have been a little short of Lochte’s ambitious goals, but with these two medals and his three other from earlier in the week (two gold, one silver) it brings Lochte’s Olympic medal count to eleven, near the top of the Olympic all-time medal count. Lochte has said he plans to compete through 2016, so only time will tell just how much more gold…

A couple of months ago I discussed the various charter fishing opportunities that our Central Florida community has to offer, but these trips can be pricey and their time constraints may not always be accommodating to your busy schedule. If you’re interested in a less expensive and a more on-your-own-time fishing experience, there are several great options for pier-fishing in our area. There are some options that have the opportunity to rent equipment (and will require a daily fishing fee) while other areas are open to the public but will require your own bait and tackle. In many cases a fishing license is required for both fresh and salt-water fishing in Florida, though many of the bigger piers in our area already have the licensing included in the…
