VPK Registration Port Orange 2012

New residents that recently moved to Volusia County or the Port Orange area may not realize that their children are entitled to free voluntary pre-kindergarten (VPK). The VPK program is essentially a preschool program that is offered to every four year old in the state, free of charge.

Children who attend VPK will learn skills that will help prepare them for entering and succeeding in one of the Volusia County elementary schools. 4 year olds experience the classroom atmosphere, learn letters, numbers, cutting, pasting, and more. Children also learn important social interaction with teachers and children their age. It’s a wonderful summer program for those parents who have children who will be entering kindergarten in the fall.

Port Orange Dog Park & More

There are very convenient dog parks to choose from in Port Orange and surrounding areas in Volusia County. Some parks are located on the beach and a few are located in residential areas. Hours of these parks are usually dusk to dawnn, but may vary.

The Volusia County Library is offering assistance to help new users learn how to use these devices correctly and easily!
