Deciding on a location to purchase a home often has many considerations. Whether you are a new and growing family, a retiree, or someone searching for a vacation or rental property, one major concern in choosing a city to call home is safety. There are many obvious reasons to want to live in a city with low crime or danger, not the least of which is the future long-term value of your investment. While we often brag about the beauty and safety of our hometown, Port Orange, we know that our opinion can be a little bias at times. However, a recent study found that Port Orange is indeed one of the safest cities in Florida, ranking the second safest Big City in the state. port orange, florida

This study considered crime statistics by population for each city in Florida and calculated a score. When ranked from lowest to highest, Port Orange ranked 28th overall in the entire state, though many of the cities above them are quite small with populations of less than 20,000 residents. With Port Orange having nearly 60,000 residents, it is a great feat for this city to rank so low on the crime score. In fact, the average crime score for large cities is nearly three times larger than that of Port Orange. If you are considering a move to Central Florida, Port Orange should be one of your top destinations. We grew up in this great city and are ready to share our local knowledge and experience with you.
