With the Daytona 500 this Sunday at the newly renovated Daytona international Speedway, there is more exciting news coming out about One Daytona, the new entertainment destination that will be located across from the speedway. It was recently announced that P.F. Chang’s will be added to One Daytona as well as a 144-room Marriott Autograph Collection hotel, called The DAYTONA, which is meant to compliment a second hotel, a 105-room Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott. Other confirmed tenants at One Daytona include Hy's Toggery, Kilwin's Confections, Bass Pro Shops and Cobb Theaters. another wawaThe second Wawa store in Port Orange is nearly completed and will be opening soon! The newest Wawa, located at 1740 Dunlawton Avenue near the Bj’s Wholesale Shopping Center, is scheduled for a grand opening on August 6th. The doors will open at 8:00am with a ribbon cutting ceremony at 10:00am. With another Wawa literally right down the street in Port Orange, many wondered if a second would be necessary. Judging by the continuous traffic of the first location, it seems as if this new Wawa will be quite successful as well. The new Wawa will feature 16 gas pumps and the array of quality hoagies and convenience store items you’ve come to love. Look for specials such as discounted or free drinks near opening day and we’ll keep you updated if we hear more.

tanger outlets lpgaTanger Outlets is coming to Daytona Beach as the city voted last night to approve $2.25 million in installments for the project. The $100 million outlet mall is set to house dozens of high-end retailers and should begin construction very soon. Volusia County has also promised a matching contribution to the project as the Daytona Beach area continues to grow in commercial appeal. The outlets are expected to create 800 new jobs and should be open by the Fall of 2016. The new Gaff’s Quality Meat and Specialty Foods is set to open Thursday, June 11th in Port Orange. Established in 1947, this local, family owned business will open at a new location near Walmart. The address is 5130 Clyde Morris Boulevard and the store will open at 9am. Gaff’s has been a favorite among locals for more than 30 years as they offer the highest quality steaks, burgers, chicken, pork and homemade sides. You will find Boar’s Head products here as well as many other items that make dinner decisions much easier. The new store looks very nice and should be a more convenient location for residents of Port Orange. The first of two Wawa convenience stores is set to open in Port Orange this week. The official grand opening for the store located at 1031 Dunlawton Avenue, near the corner of Nova road, will be this Friday, June 12th at 8:00am. There will be a ribbon cutting ceremony at 10:00am. Also coming to Port Orange soon is an asian-inspired fast-food favorite. Panda Express will break ground soon in the Pavilion at Port Orange. The new restaurant will be located near the current site of the Italian restaurant, Olive Garden. There are many other commercial developments underway and new businesses coming to Port Orange. port orange culversThe new Culvers restaurant in Port Orange is just about one month away from opening as many exciting commercial developments continue in our hometown. The targeted opening date for the Butter Burger and frozen custard specialists is June 22nd. Culvers is currently under construction right off of Interstate 95 in the same shopping center as Bj’s Wholesale, LA Fitness and Pollo Tropical. There are more than 500 Culvers in 22 states nationwide but this is the first in Volusia County. Like the new Mellow Mushroom Pizzeria, many exciting corporate chains are choosing Port Orange as a prime location to open their first area businesses.
