Google Doodle Competition Port Orange Student

Showcasing the quality of both our local school system and the excellent families that reside in Port Orange, Meryl Liu, a Cypress Creek Elementary student, was named the “Doodle 4 Google” state winner for Florida. This national art competition is open to all K-12 students in the United States and asks them to create their own Google doodle. Hard Rock Daytona Beach

Get ready to rock and roll as the world famous Hard Rock is coming to the “World’s Most Famous Beach.” Hard Rock International made the announcement late last week, detailing the 375,000-square foot complex that will sprawl along a prime oceanfront location on State Road A1A in Daytona Beach.

Slated to open in 2016, the massive development will feature 100 condominium units, 250 hotel rooms, a signature Hard Rock Cafe and all the Hard Rock brand signatures from Rock Star Suites to Vibe managers, a RockSpa, Sleep Like a Rock linens and even a recording studio for guests to use during their stay. The resort will also feature a pool with a bar and grill, ballroom, and meeting spaces.
