Montessori School - This school in Port Orange offers classes from preschool (age 1-3) through kindergarten and 1st grade (age 5-6). They have full and half-day programs to accommodate many families schedules. They are licensed by DCF, have an "open-door" policy for parents, and typically have only a 1:10 teacher to child ratio so that your child can have more specialized attention.

La Petite Academy - This daycare in Port Orange is nationally accredited by NEPCA (National Early Childhood Program Accreditation, received in October 2010, and are also a Gold Seal Provider in the State Of Florida. The standards that La Petite follow are higher than the State Of Florida Child Daycare Licensing Standards as they work to become one of the most respected daycare facilities in the area.

Chisholm Elementary School

Port Orange Elementary School - In the same building since 1925, Port Orange Elementary serves approximately 400 students. Besides regular education classes K-5, Port Orange has an ESOL (English Speakers of Other Languages) class and a variety of ESE (Exceptional Student Education) classes including classes for gifted children. They are the home of the Tigers!

Spruce Creek Elementary School - This K-5 school in Port Orange is consistently an "A" school as well as being a "5 Star" award winner, the highest award in the state of Florida for volunteering. Good job Bobcats!

Sweetwater Elementary School - This elementary school in Port Orange is home of the Pelicans and has won many awards for their academic excellence including the Florida Golden School Award and the national Blue Ribbon School of Excellence.

Cypress Creek Elementary School - A newer school in Port Orange, Cypress Creek Elementary is home of the Otters. Their mission statement says that they, "will work as a team to encourage student achievement, safety, respect and citizenship in order to ensure success of each and every student." They have an "A" school grade and are a "5 Star" school in Florida.

Horizon Elementary School - Another "A" school in Port Orange, Horizon Elementary is among the best in Volusia county.

Silver Sands Middle School - Silver Sands is committed to building individual character and achievement by linking learning to life through real world applications. They have been a Florida "5 Star" school for 6 years straight and are committed to keep this excellent track record going into the future. Join the Warrior pride at Silver Sands Middle.

Creekside Middle School - One of the newer middle schools in Port Orange, Creekside is home of the Cougars. Their mission statement says, "Creekside Middle School is a creative, compassionate, and supportive learning community dedicated to encouraging one another in a challenging, academically focused, and innovative environment."

Ormond Beach Middle School - Ormond Beach Middle, moving into its 51st year of educational excellence, is a "Five Star School" for the 7th consecutive year, as well as boasting a Gold and Silver School Awards, recognition for their School Volunteer Program, and 5 National Board Certified Teachers.

Seabreeze High School - Located beachside in Daytona, the Sandcrab's mission statement is, "In a caring, cooperative environment, the Seabreeze Family strives to provide opportunities for everyone to realize individual potential, to encourage ethical behavior and to develop skills for lifelong success." Seabreeze High School has a great athletic program to accompany their Blue Ribbon School of Excellence award.

Atlantic High School - Atlantic High School, home of the Sharks, is nestled between South Daytona and Port Orange. The school opened in the 1994-1995 school year. The cornerstone of Atlantic High School is the Guidance Department. During the 1995-1996 school year, the State of Florida recognized them as a Model Guidance Program. From day one, Atlantic guidance counselors conducted individual student family registrations when enrolling students for courses. A four-year plan is established and reviewed annually. Through these conferences, information pertinent to the success of each student is disseminated. The ultimate goal is for each student to graduate with the "values, skills and knowledge necessary to become successful citizens in our democratic society". Atlantic High School offers three unique Academies for all students in Volusia County. Our Academies are like a school within a school that challenges qualified students with an interdisciplinary program. Because of these academies, students come to this school from nine different area cities. These programs are: the Academy of Law and Government, Communication & Arts in Performance Academy, and the Horticultural, Environmental, and Marine Science program.

Spruce Creek High School - Spruce Creek, home of the Hawks, is a modern comprehensive high school in Port Orange. An "A" school, founded in 1975, Spruce Creek is centrally located in the midst of a family neighborhood, yet is also near interstate access. Due to its location and facilities, the school is often in demand as an ideal conference or convention site. Additionally, community education classes are conducted in the evenings and are open to any interested party. The school has many "Traditions of Excellence" of which the entire school community can be proud. A few of these traditions include: an outstanding Homecoming Carnival; the winner of the many All-Sports Trophy; many Florida State Weightlifting Championships; a chorus, band and drama troupe that consistently earn top honors from district, state and international recognition, and the many students who earned the status as a National Blue Ribbon School and National Merit Finalists. Spruce Creek also earned status as a National Blue Ribbon School of Excellence in 1993. Through the large enrollment in several applied academic programs to our more than 500 students in the academically rigorous International Baccalaureate Program, all students are able to find an appropriate and challenging educational program. Spruce Creek has a variety of academic programs as well as athletics and other co-curricular and extracurricular activities all designed to meet diverse student needs.

New Smyrna Beach High School - The Barracudas' opened a new facility for the 2006-07 school year. With a state-of-theart facility, equipment, and technology, the faculty and staff are extremely proud of the excellent educational opportunities available to the students in Southeast Volusia County. The school has been recognized for its outstanding programs and student achievements by receiving the 1998 Florida School Recognition Award and the 2000 National Blue Ribbon School of Excellence. New Smyrna Beach High School was selected in 2005 as one of the "25 Most Promising High Schools in Florida." This commitment to excellence in education has made them an "A" school academically while they also have many exciting athletic programs.

Father Lopez Catholic High School - Located in Daytona Beach, Father Lopez Catholic High School is owned and operated by the Diocese of Orlando, under the leadership of Bishop John Noonan, Bishop of Orlando. Father Lopez Catholic High School offers a 1:10 faculty-student ratio. Nearly half of the Administration and Faculty hold master's degrees or greater in their fields. All faculty members are certified by the Florida Department of Education to teach in their fields. As a requirement of continued certification, faculty members must complete 120 hours (the equivalent of two college courses) of professional studies every five years. The administration and faculty members regularly attend conferences in their specialty areas, in technology-related topics, and in school leadership.

Warner Christian Academy - This private, Christian school in South Daytona offers pre-K classes through high school education. A ministry of White Chapel Church of God, they opened the doors of the first grade in September of 1971 and soon after added a Day Care Center. Throughout its 40+ year history, the vision of providing a Christ-centered education to as many children in Volusia County as possible has been realized as thousands of young people have benefited from the opportunities offered at Warner Christian Academy.

Palmer College of Chiropractic - Palmer College is the first and largest chiropractic college in the world. One-third of all practicing chiropractors are Palmer graduates who contribute to the health and well-being of people around the globe. At Palmer College you will explore and expand your boundaries in the science of chiropractic and in service to others, preparing for a satisfying career and lifelong learning. The Port Orange Campus, opened in 2002, serves 741 students hailing from 39 states and several foreign countries. This campus features two major buildings housing lecture halls, a library, technique labs, physical examination labs, and an X-ray view room, as well as ample study and common spaces for students to dine, relax or meet in various student clubs.

Daytona State College - Daytona State College's status as a four-year college began in 2006, when it offered its first bachelor's degree - the Bachelor of Applied Science in Supervision and Management. In spring 2009, the college began offering Bachelor of Science in Education degrees and, in fall 2010, the Bachelor of Science in Engineering Technology. Additional baccalaureate level programs and articulation agreements are being planned for future implementation to support the region's economic development and workforce needs. Over the years, the college has fostered a tradition of excellence in academics and service to a growing community. A leader in the area's workforce and economic development initiatives, Daytona State is continually developing new means to deliver educational services to the community. The college now serves more than 35,000 students annually. Daytona State College is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges to award associate and baccalaureate degrees.

Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University - Located in Daytona Beach, Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University teaches the science, practice, and business of the world of aviation and aerospace. Since it was founded just 22 years after the Wright brothers' first flight, the University and its graduates have built an enviable record of achievement in every aspect of aviation and aerospace. The curriculum at Embry-Riddle covers the operation, engineering, research, manufacturing, marketing, and management of modern aircraft and the systems that support them. All academic programs at Embry-Riddle are approved for veterans' educational benefits and are accompanied by personalized academic advisement.

International Academy - International Academy, located in South Daytona, is a premier cosmetology school in Central Florida. Established in 1981, they have educated many students from all over the United States and throughout the world who now have rewarding careers in the personal service industry.
