12th Annual New Smyrna Beach Jazz Festival

Where: Flagler Avwnue and select locations along the LOOP, New Smyrna Beach
What: Come down to New Smyrna Beach this weekend for some great music and fun as the city hosts its 12th Annual Jazz Festival. The weekend kicks off with a ticketed event at Flagler Tavern on Friday, the 21st from 5:30-7:30pm. The Marc Monteson Quartet will be playing and admission is $15 in advance or $20 at the door. The night rolls on with a free performance by Kayonne Riley and the Downtown Trio at So Napa Grill (3406 S. Atlantic Ave) from 8-11pm.

Starting at 11am Saturday, September 22nd there will be a variety of jazz performances at local venues along Flagler Avenue and the Loop. Over a dozen jazz artists and bands will fill the streets of New Smyrna Beach with the soulful sound of jazz music and the only hard part is deciding which performer to go see. Admission is free to each of these local venues and the bands and start times are available online at New Smyrna Beach Jazz Festival.

The weekend of great jazz music, food and fun culminates on Sunday, September 22nd with three more free performances, a ticketed performance by the Orlando Jazz Orchestra, and two dinner and music shows to cap the evening. Come see the talent of the Orlando Jazz Orchestra as they perform from 2-4pm at the Brannon Center (105 S. Riverside Dr). Tickets are $15 and are available online. Finally, if you missed the fun of the rest of weekend, or just can’t get enough of the jazz jive, you must go to the finale dinner show at The Garlic. There will be two dinner shows at 6 and 8pm where you can enjoy some delicious cuisine and the stylings of jazz quartet, The 4 Freshmen. For reservations call (386)795-0161.
