The Daytona International Speedway is getting a facelift with a price tag of up to $400 million. The new upgrades of the front stretch, which are expected to begin July 5th, are meant to give the Daytona grandstands a more modern look and feel. Hoping to be completed in time for the 2016 Daytona 500, these improvements will include the addition of elevators and escalators, a widening of entrances, and the addition of 11 strategically placed social “neighborhoods” which will allow fans to gather and interact without missing the race action.
