2015 4th Of July Celebrations Around Daytona Beach
There are many festive and patriotic events planned for this weekend across the Daytona Beach area. Fireworks will light up the night sky. There will be free concerts, great activities for children and even some racing under the lights at Daytona International Speedway. Here’s a closer look at Independence Day celebrations in Daytona Beach, Port Orange, and Ormond Beach.
The Daytona Bandshell Summer Concert series is in full swing and there’s no better night to listen to live, free music then this Saturday, July 4th. Come out for classic sound of The Alter Eagles, an Eagles tribute band, and stay for a tremendous firework display over the Atlantic coastline. This event is sure to be a popular place for families and there will be lots to see and do. Hear your favorite Eagles songs from Heartache Tonight to Hotel California and enjoy a patriotic dispay to celebrate our country’s independence. See you there!
Celebrate Independence Day in style this Saturday in Port Orange. Come on out to the City Center Complex for an evening full of fun entertainment and of course FIREWORKS! There will be a Kids Zone, Water Zone, inflatables, alligator show, live band featuring the Torkays, classic car show and more! This will be a great time for the whole family. Entertainment begins at 5:30pm with fireworks at 9pm. Don’t miss out!
Enjoy hours of Independence Day entertainment along the Halifax River in Ormond Beach this Saturday. The party will stretch from City Hall Plaza across the Granada Bridge to Fortunato Park and south across Granada Boulevard into Rockefeller Gardens. Those visiting Fortunato Park can avoid traffic and access Rockefeller Gardens by walking beneath the bridge on a paved surface.
Rockefeller Gardens will feature Classic Rock and popular hits from Brad Yates & Mo'Mentum (6:00-7:15 p.m.), and upTUIT (7:45-9:15 p.m.). City Hall will feature hits from the 70’s, 80’s and 90’s from Tie Dye Road (6:00-7:15 p.m.) and Liquid Jade (7:45-9:15 p.m.).
The "Patriotic Kids Corner" at Fortunato Park will feature games, crafts, activities, inflatable rides, face painting, balloon art, and more! There will be special appearances by Abe Lincoln, Ben Franklin, George and Martha Washington.
The finale of this celebration will consist of one of the area's best fireworks displays! The fireworks begin promptly at 9:30 p.m. on the Halifax River just south of the Granada Bridge. This is the 17th year the event has been held on the corners of the Granada Bridge and it now attracts visitors from other states.
This is a free event and there is free shuttle service available from 6 p.m. until 9:45 p.m. to assist guests in getting back and forth across the Granada Bridge. There will be pick-up and drop-off points on each side. This looks like a great time for the whole family!
