Celebrate Our Nation's Birthday In Daytona Beach

This Thursday, July 4th marks our Independence Day, a day in which Americans nationwide will consume 150 million hot dogs and watch 25 million pounds worth of public firework displays. There are many ways to celebrate our nation’s birthday in the Daytona Beach area which we will outline below. BBQ, Rhythm, and Brews Festival and Fireworks
When: Wednesday & Thursday, July 3rd-4th, 5:00pm - 1:00am
Where: Main Street and A1A to Peninsula Drive, Daytona Beach
What: In celebration of the United States’ 237th birthday, the Main Street Merchants Association will be kicking off 4th of July festivities early with the 2nd annual BBQ, Rhythm & Brews Festival. New this year, a tremendous firework display will kick off at the Main street pier at 11pm and there will also be two blocks of collector cars and trucks on display. Enjoy food and drinks from local restaurants and plenty of opportunity for music and dancing. Admission is free and this event is open to the public. Main Street will be closed for the festival from A1A to Peninsula Drive from 6pm to 12am.

Lighthouse Independence Day
When: Wednesday, Thursday, & Friday July 3rd-5th, 10:00am - 2:00pm
Where: Ponce Inlet Lighthouse, 4931 S. Peninsula Drive, Ponce Inlet
What: Join us at the Lighthouse for family fun Fourth of July activities and a climb of the tallest Lighthouse in Florida. Journey back over 100 years ago, when the keepers and their families lived at the lighthouse and explore various exhibits that will bring our area history to life. NASCAR Coke 400 Weekend
When: Friday, & Saturday July 4th-5th
Where: Daytona International Speedway
What: Start your engines and come to Daytona Beach for the Coke Zero 400 on July 4th weekend. It's a summer tradition as American as fireworks and cookouts, and there are still tickets available. Be a part of the event that has produced some of the most dramatic moments in racing history, while you enjoy one of the nation's biggest fireworks displays after the race.

Eagles Tribute Concert
When: Thursday, July 4th, 4:00pm - 10:00pm
Where: Oceanfront Park on the north end of the Boardwalk amusement area. Daytona Beach
What: Come jam out to the sounds of an American classic on Independence Day! The Alter Eagles will take the bandshell stage to get the party started. This will be the perfect place to watch a fantastic firework display over our Atlantic coastline. Food and beverages are available for purchase, but no coolers allowed. Chairs will also be available for rent.

Movie on the Halifax - Madagascar 3!
When: Friday July 5th, 8:30pm
Where: Rockefeller Gardens, Ormond Beach
What: The City of Ormond Beach Leisure Services Department and The Casements Guild proudly present Movie on the Halifax night featuring "Madagascar 3 - Europe's Most Wanted". Bring a lawn chair or a blanket, and come enjoy this funny movie with your friends and family! Refreshments will be available for purchase. This movie is rated PG: Parental guidance is suggested as some material may not be suitable for children.

Jimmy Buffett Tribute Concert
When: Saturday, July 6th, 7:00pm - 10:00pm
Where: Oceanfront Park on the north end of the Boardwalk amusement area. Daytona Beach
What: If you come out for the concert on the 4th and want to keep the party going all weekend long, don’t miss the Caribbean Chillers at the bandshell Saturday night. The island sounds of Jimmy Buffett will be fun and relaxing as we ease into another tremendous firework display in Daytona Beach. Food and beverages are available for purchase, but no coolers allowed. Chairs will also be available for rent.
