Daytona 500 Weekend
It’s time again for the best drivers in the country to descend upon Daytona Beach for the Super Bowl of racing, the Daytona 500. This Sunday will mark the 55th anniversary of the stock car racing event that put Daytona Beach on the map, and history has already been made as Nascar newcomer Danica Patrick became the first woman to start on the pole for a Sprint Cup Series event. Danica will race against defending points champion Brad Keselowski and fan-favorites Jeff Gordon, Jimmie Johnson, Dale Earnhardt Jr. and the rest of a very competitive 43-car field. The race will be preceded by a performance by the country stars, Zac Brown Band, as well as a flyover by the famous United States Air Force Thunderbirds.
