Daytona Beach Area Condo Sales Report 2015
As we have seen over the past three years, Daytona Beach area condo sales were strong again in 2015 with sale prices continuing to rise and the highest quality condo offerings becoming more scarce. Overall the number of condos sold remained steady while the average sale price rose marginally from 2014 to last year. Below we will discuss the condo sales statistics for the three most popular areas to purchase a Central Florida condo: Daytona Beach, Daytona Beach Shores and Ponce Inlet.

As you can see, the number of sales and pricing on condos in these three cities remained consistent with the numbers seen in 2014. The increase in average sale price that we had seen in the previous years prompted many Daytona Beach area condo owners to list their properties at higher asking prices and lessened their willingness to negotiate on the most desirable properties.
The Daytona Beach condo average sale price reflects the many low-end condotels and efficiency condos sold in 2015 while Daytona Beach Shores' average sale price is elevated by the luxury market. Ponce Inlet sales remained steady anchored by sales in the Towers condo buildings and Harbour Village which often sell between $200,000 and $400,000.
Overall, condo sales in the Daytona Beach MLS rose by 6 % and the average sale price rose by nearly $10,000. We expect to find the same level of market strength in 2016 for Daytona Beach area condos, creating a mix of opportunity for both buyers and sellers.
