Daytona Beach Area New Home Construction Booming
There has been a great deal of exciting news lately regarding new home construction in the Daytona Beach area. A flourishing business corridor and low resale home supplies are driving builders to begin new home construction in Port Orange, New Smyrna Beach, Ormond Beach and Daytona Beach. In all, there could be as many as 15,000 new homes built in our area over the next decade. From the proposed 55+ beach club community, to quality family home options in excellent school zones, there may be a new home option that is perfect for you. Daytona Beach
There are still a select few new homes in the golf course community LPGA as well as new construction beginning in the second phase of the family neighborhood, Bayberry Lakes. There is also luxury condos coming to One Daytona. But the grandest of the new construction options in our area will be the proposed 55+ community, Oasis Daytona.
Oasis Daytona, developed by Minto Communities, will begin construction by year’s end on nearly 2,300 total acres near Interstate 95 and LPGA Boulevard. While building out the entire 6,900 home community, including two town centers and two 20,000+ sq. ft. retail centers, could take 15 years, the developers are hoping to have model homes available to view by early 2018. This is expected to be an active community with many activities and even possible daily transportation to the beach. Homes prices are expected to begin in the low $200’s and go up to the mid $300,000’s.
Port Orange
Port Orange is one of the most active home markets currently and competition for resale homes has grown fierce. There is active new construction in the highly popular Waters Edge, and ICI homes is also adding two new neighborhoods in Woodhaven and Browns Landing. Other new construction options in Port Orange include Hawks Preserve by D.R. Horton.
New Smyrna Beach
