Daytona Beach Is Better
One of the hurdles to selling beach side real estate in Florida is the fact that there are a ton of beaches around the peninsula of our state for buyers to choose from. In fact, here in Florida we have the longest coastline in the contiguous United States, stretching some 1,350 miles of beautiful sands. While we are admittedly a little bias, we truly feel that our very own beaches here in the Daytona Beach area are among the best in the state. After all, there must be a reason (or several) that our area earned the nickname, “World’s Most Famous Beach”. Here are some of the reasons we, and many of our clients, prefer the Daytona beaches over others around the state and even country.
Location - Nestled in the heart of the state, Daytona Beach is in close proximity to many exciting attractions and enticing venues that will keep you entertained year-round. Orlando theme parks and attractions, historic St. Augustine, Port Canaveral, and Kennedy Space Center are just a few of the day-trip destinations within about an hours drive when you need an escape from the sun and sand of our area beaches. Catching a professional football, basketball or baseball game is not as easy from some the beach towns along the Florida panhandle, while discovering the mystic history of Ponce de Leon’s arrival in St. Augustine will be a pretty large feat from the sands of South Beach.
Waves - Surfs up in Daytona Beach and even if you aren’t into water sports, the sheer brilliance of crashing waves create a breathtaking scene for your daily life here. Along the Gulf coast you cannot fully enjoy the surfing, paddle boarding, body surfing, kite boarding, or jet skiing that our area beaches allow. Even just the sound of the waves rolling in as you sit on your oceanfront balcony can induce unmatched tranquility and relaxation.
The Sand - The hard, compact sands of Daytona Beach are a large part of what gave this area it’s worldly nickname and played a huge role in the extensive racing history of our area. Years ago, racing pioneers took to the sands of Daytona Beach setting land speed records and beginning a rich heritage of racing that has spread around the country. Today, locals and tourists alike enjoy the freedom of being able to take their personal vehicle for a cruise down the Atlantic coastline or park waterfront for the day and enjoy time with friends and family. The desirable sands here are also perfect for exercise, including biking, walking, running, and other sports and activities.
Affordability - In Daytona Beach you truly get more for your money when purchasing beachside homes and condos. Sale prices on average run lower than real estate in Miami, Tampa, Sarasota and nearly everywhere in between. You don’t need to be a lottery winner or international mogul to own piece of paradise along Daytona Beach as there are oceanfront condos starting in the $300’s and oceanfront homes in the high $500’s. At the same time, these properties can be as luxurious as many of the homes and condos in the bigger cities, with the caveat that many of these properties should see a boost in sales numbers in the coming years as Daytona Beach welcomes the oceanfront Hard Rock Hotel and Condos as well as the major projects, Daytona Rising and One Daytona. So when you combine the above benefits of our area beaches, you really start to see the value that owning a property in Daytona Beach has now, and into the future.
When considering where to retire, invest, or simply enjoy the beauty of life, Daytona Beach should be near the top of your list. The location, value and overall charm of our section of the Atlantic coastline are just some of the reasons we love calling Daytona Beach home.
