Front Porch Friday & Movie Under the Stars

When: Friday, February 28th
Where: Beach Street & Riverfront Park, Daytona Beach
What: Nestled in between last week’s Nascar events and the coming motorcyle barrage that is Bike Week, we have another exciting installment of Front Porch Friday. This Friday come out and enjoy all of the exciting shops and restaurants that line historic Beach Street and stay around until dusk for a very special presentation of Cinematique Under the Stars. While the book-club-sponsored movies have already been a hit in past months, this weeks showing of “42”, starring Harrison Ford and Chadwick Boseman, has a special connection to our great community with the beautiful Jackie Robinson Ballpark in the backdrop of this screening. This award-winning film follows the challenges faced by African-Americans in baseball and is a great choice as Black History Month draws to a close. This movie showing is FREE and open to the public as always, so bring lawn chairs and get ready for a great evening. The movie begins at dusk, and please do not bring any coolers.
