When: Friday, August 24th, Free street fest begins at 4pm, Concert at 7:30pm
Where: Peabody Auditorium - 600 Auditorium Blvd Daytona Beach
What: Come out this Friday night for a blast from the past with Hippiefest 2012 in Daytona Beach. The fun begins at 4pm outside of Peabody Auditorium with a street fest filled with live music, great food, and a psychedelic feel. Bring the family, as this event is fun for all ages, offering something for everyone. In fitting hippie style, two of the bands playing actually headlined Woodstock 43 years ago! There will be hippie vendors selling crafts and jewelry that can help you get that 60’s look you’re going for and even a clay molding section if you are feeling especially artistic. Come for the free street festival and stay for the concert indoors at 7:30. Tickets are still available for the concert that includes Johnny Winter Band, Edgar Winter Band, Rick Derringer, Mountain’s Leslie West, and Savoy Brown’s Kim Simmonds.
