International Museum Day at Ponce Inlet Lighthouse
When: Saturday, May 18th, 11:00am - 2:00pm

What: Since 1977, museums around the world have participated in this event; a day to raise awareness on the importance of museums in the development of society. This year the theme for this designated day is Memory and Creativity equals Social Change. Find out what it took for local volunteers, beginning in 1972, to transform an old abandoned light station into the National Historic Landmark that it is today. Join the fun and tour the grounds, climb the tower and hear about Lighthouse history. Educational and entertaining workshops will be offered.
