Patriotic Ceremony and Deland Suns Game
When: This Sunday, June 24th. Ceremony starts at 4:00 pm, game starts at 5:00 pm Where: Conrad Park - 555 South Woodland Boulevard, DeLand What: This year, Rand McNally and USA Today have selected Deland as a finalist for the “Most Patriotic Town in America”. Deland, only a short drive southwest on US-92 from Daytona, will be visited this weekend by a team from Rand McNally to collect information on their “Best of the Road Rally”. In honor of the selection and in true form of American patriotism, Deland will hold a patriotic ceremony right before the opening pitch of a Deland Suns baseball game this Sunday at Conrad Park. Free admission will be given for veterans, active service members, and anyone dressed in red, white, and blue. Discounted food and beverages will be available. Come out enjoy a hot dog, a cold beer (if of age) and America’s pastime while showing Rand McNally and the rest of America just how patriotic Deland and Central Florida are. The Dog Days of Summer
