Ormond Beach, New Smyrna Beach Among Top Summer Home Markets in United States
It is no secret that Florida is a top destination for retirement. We work with many customers who are retired seniors or are approaching retirement age, and are looking for a beach retreat on a budget. We have long touted the affordability found in the Daytona Beach area, and while this is beneficial for retirees, it is also a deciding factor for second-home and vacation homeowners.
According to a recent study, several of our Central Florida cities can provide some of the best bargains for second-homes in the entire United States. The study by ATTOM Data Solutions analyzed all U.S cities where second-home-buyers are looking and ranked them based on comfortable summer temperatures, overall air quality, crime rates, the appreciation of home values and the general affordability of real estate. Florida cities made up 43% of the entire list or 43 out of the 100 ranked cities in the country. Ormond Beach, New Smyrna Beach and Palm Coast all made this “Top Summer Home Vacation Markets” list, and we tend to agree as there are many quality and budget-friendly options in these beautiful cities.
