Pavilion at Port Orange
The Pavilion At Port Orange groundbreaking ceremony occurred this past February. This commercial project located off of Williamson Blvd in Port Orange will feature 525,000 square feet of open air shopping and a few restaurants that will be new to the Port Orange area. Port Orange homeowners can look forward to shops like Barnes & Noble, Belk, Marshals, Homegoods, PetsMart, Michaels, and even Circuit City.
Residents have been craving new options for upscale shopping and dining in the Port Orange area. Possible restaurants may include Olive Garden, Red Lobster, Longhorn. Additionally, the Pavilion At Port Orange will feature an advanced state-of-the-art movie theatre with stadium seating and high tech digital technology.
This project is planned for completion in 2009. What restaurants and shops would you like to see at the Pavilion At Port Orange?
Discussion
Great looking place, They went all out with the artist rendering.
To make this mall very desirable, I would especially like to see the following added to The Pavillion:
Restaurants:
Panara
Jason's deli
Shops:
Apple
William-Sonoma
PotteryBarn
PotteryBarn Kids
Dillard's
Select Comfort
Whole Foods
Teavana
Mayors
Banana Republic
Brooks Brothers
The Walking Company
New Balance
T-Mobile
LensCrafters
Sunglass Hut
Ritz Camera
Talbots
Ann Taylor
Office Depot
Thank you!
Kathy,
Thank you for contributing shop ideas. This is a great list! My interests are very similar.
...And, I forgot to add, Bed, Bath and Beyond and Borders.
I really enjoyed shopping at the St. John's Town Center Mall in Jacksonville, FL. This mall has everything except a Whole Foods and a Teavana. I would like to see the Pavillon have the same opportunities for shoppers and visitors alike.
Thank you!
Kathy.
Your welcome.
Sounds like a great wish list.
I second Bed Bath and Beyond and Whole Foods - I've sent emails to Whole Foods telling them what a great location Port Orange would be for them. I'd also like a Crisper's which is similar to Panera Bread since there's the Panera within a mile away from the Pavilion. Maybe a Cheesecake Factory, PF Changs or some similar semi-upscale type of restaurant.
Great information Jenny. I have a list of confirmed shops and it includes:
Belk
Hollywood Theaters
Barnes & Noble
Circuit City
Homegoods
Marshall's
Michaels
Hopefully some of the shops that have been mentioned here will make it to the Port Orange Pavilion.
In addition to the stores already mentioned, I would like to see an Apple Store and a CompUSA.
Maybe a Bahama Breeze restaurant?
I think a P.F. Changs, Corner Bakery and a nice steak house like Texas de Brazil would be great. Plus you gotta have an Apple Store
I think Port Orange needs some upscale shopping: Coach, White House Black Market, Polo, Pottery Barn, J.Jill, etc...I agree we also need some NEW restaurants - really, another Olive Garden??
Forget all the same restaurants that we have in this area!! We NEED some totally different places to eat!!! My first pick is definately PF Changs!!!! So sick of the idea of a chinese buffet!!! ugh!!! A Cheesecake Factory would be a good second!!! Please bring us some new places to help attract others here instead of us having to travel there!!!
more great ideas! I agree.
I would also like to see a Romano's Macaroni Grill, and Maggiano's Little Italy.
Cheesecake Factory would do great! A Coffee House, Barnies; is a must, its much better than Star Bucks by far.A Candy factory or store does great as well.
PF Chang's, please come to Port Orange. My friends and I are waiting. We are tired of driving the 50 miles to Winter Park.
I would also agree with PF Changs, Whole Foods, Pottery barn, and hope that the PetSmart has included a Pet Hotel in this store!!!!
All the stores listed above are all in daytona on international, why put these stores right up the street from them?? it makes no sense. we need real upscale stores and places to eat. bahama breeze or cheesecake factory would do so well in port orange. Im tired of going to orlando to eat at their great restauraunts... that we dont have. we have the same old boring places. We need a change!!!!! PLEASE
by the way im so excited about the new movie theater
Ive been going to the run down theater port orange 6 forever
We need a Ruth's Chris Steakhouse, mmmm
Red Robin!!!!
PF Changs and Cheesecake Factory for sure.
i don't understand why port orange has such terrible food choices. we need good restaurants here. daytona has great name recognition. it is at the end of i-4. tampa/clearwater has incredible restaurants, let's give them a run for their money!
Shops that are not at the Volusia Mall like Express Men, Express, Gap. Restaurants like the Cheesecake Factory would be great.
I am so glad other people see the need for great choices in restaurants and upscale shopping in the area, too! I recently relocated here, and I am desparate for the food and shopping choices I had in Winter Park/Orlando area.
i would love to see a macaroni grill go in there, it would do great cause the closest one is in lake mary. Also a Cheesecake factory would do great with the people going to movies..
i would really like to see a better choice of restaurants in the area..mainly a macaroni grill, Cheesecake factory even a kobe's. They would do well because there are none in the area. We have olive garden and most of the others that were mentioned as possible restaurants so why not bring in new places like the ones i mentioned. Seems by reading this blog, others have the same ideas..
TRADER JOE'S love their stores! PF Changs would be nice.
Cheesecake factory, The Yard House (a great little chain--one is in Palm Beach Gardens)
i would love to see a sephoras and maybe a guess store !
maybe some sort of darden restaurant like olive garden or red lobster
Talbots
PF Chang (or any GOOD chinese restaurant)
Cheesecake Factory
Chicos
Seasons52
JJill
JCrew
Dick's Sporting Goods
Trader Joes
World Market
STAPLES
DICK'S SPORTING GOODS
TRADER JOES
PF CHANG
BEST BUY
SEARS
Sweet Tomatoes
Chuck E Cheese
Soup n Salad Exchange
Golden Corral
Sweet Tomatoes
Chuck E Cheese
Soup n Salad Exchange
Golden Corral
Trader Joes
would love to see TooJays Deli ,PF Changs ,Sephora,Chicos and Talbots and if it has to Belk it should be higher end not bargain basement , we have plenty of those.
Port Orange is such a great place to live, we needed a Mall such as this. I would love a Dillards but I am very happy with the beautiful way, this Mall already looks...we can't wait for the opening.
Hey Kev,
We really need a Cheesecake Factory and PF Changs and my favorite Amura's.
I would love to see Outback - PF CHANGS - Whole foods - MACARONI GRILL - CHEESCAKE FACTORY-TRADER JOES .
I honestly do not think that we need to put in more stores that we already have on International. PetCo, Olive Garden, and Michael's? C'mon we already have that not even 10 minutes away! Cheesecake Factory and a P.F. Chang's would definitely be an awesome addition to the Pavilion. I have lived in Port Orange my whole life and it's nice to finally see some good new things coming here.
Port Orange needs more upscale stores and dining.
Forget Sears and low-end stores and food chains. They are a dime a dozen in this area. Bring in Quality not Quantity.
Fresh Market!!! Also, Macaroni Grill, PF Changs. Sur la Tab would be nice.
Who is building these shops at the Pavilion?
this is what Port Orange needs. GREAT IDEA! Any idea when restaurants will be taking applications for job interviews?
Cheesecake Factory, Dicks sporting goods, Chuck e cheese,Melting Pot, Cuban restuarant, Houligans,Roadhouse,Logans or Bucco di peppo.New york bagels!!!
How about Five Guys Burgers and Fries???!!! PF Changs, Corner Bakery, Macaroni Grill, Barnes and Noble, Pottery Barn, etc.
A Trader's Joe or Whole Foods would be absolutely FANTASTIC!!!!!! There is nothing like that in the area and I think it would be really successful here.
a rainforest cafe would be nice and different for port orange.Port Orange is a great place to live........how about a dunkin donuts on this end of town?
We NEED something like a Chuck E Cheese's here for families to take their kids.
Comp USA would also be a nice addition. No Staples, Office Depot or Best Buy...their everywhere.
Health Foods, Deli's, A Bowling Alley too.
Forever 21? Lets bring some fashion to port orange. Yeah there could be more upscale clothing stores going in but we are in a recession and that shouldn't mean that we can't dress nice without spending $100 on a shirt!
what happended to Cheesecake Factory and Whole Foods? That would have been awesome huge success.
Trader Joe's, PF Changs, Seasons 52, Legal Seafoods, Smith and Wollensky (great steakhouse), Cheesecake Factory, Bahama Breeze....
Ruth's Chris Steakhouse, PF Changs, olive garden, and cheesecake factory!!!!
P.F Changs and Cheesecake Factory!!!
would like to see a Mims and Cheesecake factory
We definitely need a Cheesecake Factory, PF Changs, Pottery Barn, and some other upscale shopping....I mean c'mon, Marshall's and Belk as upscale? I think not.....might as well have Sizzler too....
Please, please, please bring Trader Joes to this area!
Sephora, Chuck E Cheese, Forever 21, WHOLE FOODS, Gap, Cheesecake Factory. Only different stores, not the same old thing up the road.
Please bring attention to UPSCALE retailers and not mid-range chains that will cheapen the real-estate potential for future business opportunity. Please bring attention to; BCBG Max Azria Company, MAC Cosmetics, Juicy Couture ( Liz Claiborne company), Lucky Brand Jeans, GUESS, Forever 21 ( lower end but HUGELY accessible), H&M, BeBe, Swarovski, Zara, Coach, Godiva, Bannana republic, express..
The only thing that makes me happy so far is belks that store is great & the new theater but this is what the people of port orange please, please hear us out!!!SICK OF OLIVE GARDEN!!! PF. CHANGS,CHEESECAKE FACTORY,GAP,POTTERY BARN , POTTERY BARN TEEN ,MACARONI GRILL
PF Changs, Cheesecake Factory and Pottery Barn would be a great thing for the area.
I think that you should add stores that we dont have close by here.
Forever21, i'd really like to see this!
And possibly rue 21
i love those two stores, also a victoria secret would be great.!
FOR SURE a TRADER JOES. I have spoken to them in Chicago and Madison WI....told they were expanding to FL first stores Miami and distribution center in Orlando....now on hold due to economy....BUT let's court them! Trader Joes is fabulous in quality, interesting selection AND price....unbeatable combo. I like Whole Foods as well....but it is more expensive...and not quite as interesting in variety as Trader Joes. Here is the rest of my list
Borders
Cheesecake Factory
Ikea (just dreaming!)
Crate & Barrel
a fun vintage and antique shop....as well as other unique non-chain stores....
Love the new movies a ton! and the Malibu Beach restaurant....the Monterey Grill folks have it right!!
So glad the Pavillion is almost done and SO NEAR my house YEA!
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE bring an Amura to the pavillion. It is amazing. Also, Whole Foods would be fabulous. Trader Joes would be a close second. PLEASE AMURA PLEASE!
After seeing what stores are going in I can honestly say I won't be shopping there. It seems like they're trying to attract only women shoppers only. Seriously...Belk, Bridal, Homegoods, Divas, Adornments and the list goes on and on, geez !!! One sporting goods store and nothing else, not one electronic store, not one men's clothing store...FORGET ABOUT IT! Instead of containing my urge to shop I'll be trying to contain my myself from road rage that I'll get from the new traffic light.
COSTCO......please!!!! closest one is in Jax and Costco is soooooo much better than Sams!!!
I think Pei Wei would be a great addition to the pizza and burger places. PF Changs owns it and its a more afforable casual place to eat, kind of like Chipotle. I am from Port Orange but recently moved to Tampa, and go to Pei Wei all the time. I'm glad to see so many new places close to home now! It's great visiting my family and being able to enjoy good food that I get from a big city like Tampa.
OH and some more I find great from living in Tampa.
Fresh Market
Borders
Mimi's Cafe
A bowling alley! Yes, I think that's a GREAT idea!!! There are NONE around here, and it would bring a lot of business! Also, I think a Chuck-E-Cheese for the kids of Port Orange, and a Cheesecake factory or Bahama Breeze are also great ideas! Also maybe a sports bar type of place, or Mimi's cafe would be great too! I love all the ideas on this board, I hope someone is reading them =)
I think the Chinese Restaurant PF CHANGS would be a great addition and very succesfull at the Pavillion. I always make it a point to eat there when I visit cities that I know have one. Everyone I know love the food. I don't understand why there isn't one there.
Such a beautiful place and space; too bad so much money was wasted on substandard dining and shopping. These shops and restaurants can be found at any strip mall or half-vacant strip mall in small town America. Until we demand that developers and city leaders spend time and effort to bring in upscale dining and shopping, we will always attract lower class venues to our city. With this lower class thinking, our city will never grow and be able to participate in successfully attracting that high-dollar tourists money that is needed. Without the beach, there is no reason to come to Daytona if you aren't a race fan......there is nothing else here. Let's hold the developers and city leaders accountable for not participating in attracting the big ticket venues, upscale shopping and dining, and the money it would all bring in from tourism that would help pay taxes and improve our area. It saddens me to drive up or down Atlantic Ave. and see the run-down buildings and fences that block the beach view. Unfortunately, this has not changed in many years. Other cities are reinventing and revitalizing, but not DB or DBS.
I WOULD LIKE TO SEE A GOLDEN CORAL AND DUNKIN DONUTS COME ...PLEASE PLEASE...THANK YOU....
i live in port orange and go to the pavilion almost every week, but im begging for an apple store, because the nearest one is 45 minutes away, a foot locker because port orange doesnt have one, and lastly a bowling alley, because i love to bowl and the nearest one is in new smyrna! please comment back!
For restaurants, I would like to see a Logan's Roadhouse or I-Ching.
For stores, White House Black Market would be good.
I would also like to see a Gymboree Play & Music for the little ones. The bowling alley and Chuck-e-cheese ideas are good too.
PLS,PLS,PLS most definitely a GOLDEN CORRAL, tired of driving to palm coast just to dine at golden corral.
Definately a COSTCO. We hate having to drive the long distance to go to the nearest Costco. They are so much better than sam's and BJs. And they pay their employees very well so that would mean JOBS.
I have been a regular customer at the pavillion since it opened.I am not happy with the selection of establishments that were brought .Why is it that all restaurants are squeezed in one section? We do need upscale stores and restaurants and Red Lobster is not one of them.
I am a regular customer at the pavillion since it opened.I am not happy with the selection of establishments we need healthy choices
Sweet Tomatoes
Soup n Salad Exchange
Trader Joe's
World Market
desperately need a Whole Foods
Whole Foods is on Dunlawton across from Wesport Plaza ,just a few steps away. It will open any day
There is nothing upscale about the stores at the Pavillion, same old stuff that we have just up the road in Daytona. There is something being built next to Home Goods .What is it?
It's going to be Party World next to Home Goods, I believe.
looks like Red Lobster will be located in the Altamira Shopping Village on Dunlawton.
Too bad the center does not house more inviting upscale restaurants and shopping. The selection of dining is moderate at best. Why does the center not include restaurants such as Bonefish Grill, or Cheesecake Factory at the very least? Shopping is more like an outlet mall instead of upscale boutiques. I will continue to take my business back into the Orlando area until upscale retailers and restaurants are built.
Beautiful place and so nicely located. Would love to see PF Changs, Bone Fish and TooJays Deli come to the Pavillion.
As much as we would all like to see all those upscale establishments we have to come to grips that we are not that kind of place. I suggest we stop whining and support what is here and not worry about the economy of Orlando. We have wonderful shops that would love to see the people come check them out. Most people don't know that Belk store exists in Port Orange. They have cosmetic counters that equal the mall in Daytona, why not support them. The store has great sales and it is clean, well stocked and beautiful. All those boutiques around the mall at the Pavillion would love the crowds. People, spread the word or lose what is in our backyard.
