Port Orange Family Days Starts Thursday

When: Thursday - Sunday, March 6-9
Where: Port Orange City Center
If you’re looking for an escape from the brigade of bikers that will descend on the Daytona Beach area this weekend, then pack up the family and head down to Port Orange for the Port Orange Family Days Spring Fair. This year promises to have all of the family fun that you’ve come to expect from this event including a carnival, community expo, live entertainment, a parade and much more. Below we will provide a brief rundown of this weekend’s events.

Carnival
Rides, games and fun is in store for the whole family as the carnival runs Thursday through Sunday. Thursday is $1 ride night while discounted ride-armbands can be purchased at your local Walgreens for the other nights.

Thursday, March 6 - Food Truck Night from 5 - 9 PM.
Come taste the treats of the many local food trucks that have made this one of the most popular nights of family days. Vendors will include:

Friday, March 7 - Movie Under the Stars
Friday night is the perfect family night and what better way to spend it then with a movie under the stars in Port Orange. Bring the kids and a blanket for a viewing of Disney’s “Monsters University” at 7pm.

Saturday, March 8
On Saturday the community expo kicks off from 9am - 4pm and features many local businesses and organizations exhibiting their products and services. There will be games, prizes, pony rides, pet parade, face-painting and other fun activities for the kids. Also, there will be another Movie Under the Stars at 7 pm, featuring the popular children’s movie, “Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs”.

Sunday, March 9
The community expos continues on Sunday, and this fun day will also include a church service, the kickoff the Port Orange Get Fit Challenge, and a BMX/skate stunt show.
