With the Daytona 500 this Sunday at the newly renovated Daytona international Speedway, there is more exciting news coming out about One Daytona, the new entertainment destination that will be located across from the speedway. It was recently announced that P.F. Chang’s will be added to One Daytona as well as a 144-room Marriott Autograph Collection hotel, called The DAYTONA, which is meant to compliment a second hotel, a 105-room Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott. Other confirmed tenants at One Daytona include Hy's Toggery, Kilwin's Confections, Bass Pro Shops and Cobb Theaters. The newest Wawa, located at 1740 Dunlawton Avenue near the Bj’s Wholesale Shopping Center, is scheduled for a grand opening on August 6th. The doors will open at 8:00am with a ribbon cutting ceremony at 10:00am. With another Wawa literally right down the street in Port Orange, many wondered if a second would be necessary. Judging by the continuous traffic of the first location, it seems as if this new Wawa will be quite successful as well. The new Wawa will feature 16 gas pumps and the array of quality hoagies and convenience store items you’ve come to love. tanger outlets lpgaTanger Outlets is coming to Daytona Beach as the city voted last night to approve $2.25 million in installments for the project. The $100 million outlet mall is set to house dozens of high-end retailers and should begin construction very soon. Volusia County has also promised a matching contribution to the project as the Daytona Beach area continues to grow in commercial appeal. The outlets are expected to create 800 new jobs and should be open by the Fall of 2016. The new Gaff’s Quality Meat and Specialty Foods is set to open Thursday, June 11th in Port Orange. Established in 1947, this local, family owned business will open at a new location near Walmart. The address is 5130 Clyde Morris Boulevard and the store will open at 9am. Gaff’s has been a favorite among locals for more than 30 years as they offer the highest quality steaks, burgers, chicken, pork and homemade sides.
