SOLfest Port Orange 2013
Come down to the Port Orange City Center this Sunday, November 17 for SOLfest, a Summer of Love 60’s festival! SOLfest will be from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Kenneth Parker Amphitheater and will feature family-friendly fun for everyone, including your furry friends as well. This event is free but donations of pet food and “wish list” items are requested to benefit Second Chance Rescue, an animal aid organization in Bunnell. Along with music by area bands, SOLfest activities will include a “Hound Dog Flash Mob,” belly dancing performances, food vendors, arts and crafts vendors, children’s games and activities, drum circles, a low-cost pet shot clinic, and pet adoptions. Below is the schedule for this exciting event:
11 a.m. — Live Music in Amphitheater
12:15 p.m. — Expresso Jazz featuring vocalist Linda Flynn (’60s jazz and blues)
1:30 p.m. — Belly dancing by Rose Fauci’s Dance Express
2 p.m. — Tie-Dye Road (classic rock and blues)
3 p.m. — “Hound Dog Flash Mob” and belly dancing
3:45 p.m. — Sabertooth Chuck (psychedelic grunge jam band)
