Valentines Day In Daytona Beach
Can you believe it’s already February? This year is moving quickly, and as I am quite busy with several home sales, I, possibly like you, haven’t spent enough time thinking about Valentine’s Day gifts or activities for my wife and loved ones. If you’re having trouble finding the perfect idea to show that special someone how much you care, I will discuss a few Valentine’s Day ideas in the Daytona Beach and Port Orange area.
Flowers, Candy, & Cards - These classic gifts, though sometimes overdone, can still be quite meaningful and pleasing to your loved one, especially if you give it a little personal touch. Red roses and a heart-shaped box of chocolates are the most popular gifts for Valentine’s Day, but I would suggest considering a different type of flower, your loved one’s favorite type or color, to steer away from the norm. You can purchase flowers online, at local shops like Port Orange Florist, or from area supermarkets. If you choose the latter option, consider buying several different bouquets, as these will be less expensive than from a florist, and try to make your own arrangement in a special or custom vase. I’m not saying that creating a beautiful arrangement will be the easiest task, but the effort involved can go that extra step to show how much you really care. Along this line, standard boxes of chocolate are great, but also consider picking up a specialty candy, or a loved one’s favorite treat. You can customize your box at a place like Angell and Phelps in Downtown Daytona Beach. And finally, there are an array of Valentines Day cards, making finding the perfect sentiment much easier. But let’s not make it too easy. Regardless of the the card you choose, consider adding a personal note or detail that will show the recipient just how much they are loved.
Dining & Entertainment - There is much to be said for an intimate, candlelit, homemade meal with your loved one, but not everyone has the time (or like me, skills) to pull off an edible Valentines evening meal.
