Maybe it is because we didn’t take the holiday season off like many agents, maybe it’s politics or the economy, or maybe the reason that we are so busy selling Daytona Beach area real estate is our outstanding marketing and reputation in the area that continues to produce buyers and repeat customers. For comparison, in 2016 our first closing was not until January 29th, although we did end up with a record year of sales totalling more than $27 million. Currently we have 15 pending sales with multiple homes and condos set to sell this month north of $500,000 which shows the increased activity in our area over last year. The only issue with having so many active buyers and interested customers is that we do not currently have enough listings to choose from. The Port Orange home market and other real estate around Ormond Beach, Daytona Beach Shores, and Ponce Inlet is receiving the highest demand we have seen in years. Last year we earned our sellers nearly 97% of their list price compared to the area average of 93%, which could equal a $10,000 difference on a $250,000 property. Plain and simple; we need more homes and condos to sell to our growing list of buyers.
