Halifax Health Medical Center of Port Orange is an 80-bed community hospital that features a round-the-clock Emergency Department, four operating rooms and private patient rooms. The Emergency Department is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, with a total of 20 beds. Eight of the 20 beds are designated as "Fast Track" beds for patients with minor injuries and illnesses. Highly trained emergency physicians and nurses treat most emergencies on-site. The Hospital offers the same skilled medical staff-both primary care and specialists- available at the main Halifax Health Medical Center campus in Daytona Beach.

Halifax Health - Hospice is a respected leader in end-of-life care since 1979 for Volusia and Flagler counties.As a non-profit, they are committed to providing extraordinary and dignified comfort and compassion to every person and family facing end-of-life. Hospice cares for patients and families through a uniquely specialized team of registered nurses, licensed social workers, spiritual care counselors, Hospice aides, complementary therapists, and more than 600 volunteers who are on-call 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The Port Orange Care Center has a memorial walkway around the building with a gazedo for patients and families to enjoy. Each patient room features its own patio, bathroom, individualized climate control, private telephone, Internet access and television. There is a great room for families to sit in with a piano and children's corner. There is a Chapel available for patients and family use.
